REPELLENT TESTING SERVICES
As part of Poseidon’s program to study the biological control of mosquito-borne diseases, such as malaria, a research and development facility has been established to study the efficacy of repellents as a means of protection, in concert with netting and biological control.
The procedures for testing follow the United States Environmental Protection Administration guidelines are being followed.

Poseidon’s mosquito testing laboratory is designed as a screening facility to evaluate the performance of formulations and active ingredients using the mosquito, Culex quinquefasciatus. Tests are conducted with human volunteers using the mosquito chamber arm test or field tests under ambient conditions during the peak time of mosquito biting activity.
