Sulu Butterfly Garden

Sulu Garden of Miagao, Iloilo is a project of Athena Bioventures and Sulu Explorers Club initially for the purpose of cataloguing the butterfly biodiversity of Panay island. The year 2011 saw the transformation of Sulu into a garden to attract butterflies and the development of unique laboratory facilities to propagate various species of interest.

Following the concept developed by Prof. Jumalon in Cebu, the Sulu Butterfly Sanctuary is designed as a haven for indigenous butterflies and for visitors to experience a unique world we often take for granted.
